JES JOHANSEN, CEO

Jes is co-founder and CEO of Amicus IM. He’s an entrepreneur at heart and one of the most experienced and successful operators of industrial…specifically self-storage and flexible space management…properties in Asia. Previously, he was the CEO of Storefriendly’s earlier business in Singapore, which was acquired by Singapore Post in 2015. Before Storefriendly, Jes was Managing Director of Steel Storage Asia, the Asian operations of the world leader in self-storage building, design, construction and consultation. Jes is also a Founding Board Member of the Self Storage Association Asia. He obtained his MBA from IMD Business School in Switzerland.

KEVIN CHAN, MANAGING DIRECTOR

Kevin is co-founder and Managing Director of Amicus IM. He’s a natural entrepreneur and founded Storefriendly in 2002 soon after he finished school. Today, he is Chairman of Storefriendly Self-Storage Group, the largest self-storage operator in Asia with over 130 outlets and 40,000 units in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and mainland China. Kevin is the Vice Chairman of the Self Storage Association Asia. He’s a graduate of the University of Hong Kong.

KEIRN O’CONNOR, DIRECTOR, FUND FINANCE & OPERATIONS

Keirn is Director of Amicus IM in charge of finance and operations. He has 20 years of experience in fund management, private equity and real estate investment. Before joining Amicus IM, Keirn was the sole managing director of two successful, growth-stage private equity funds in Vietnam focused on the consumer sector. Previously, at Macquarie Capital Partners LLC, he advised REITs and investment funds in the property sector on fundraising, M&A and investments. He’s raised more than US$4 billion of PE from institutional investors globally in 11 closed funds, joint ventures and private placements, including large funds in the self-storage and industrial property sectors. He’s also been involved in seed and early stage venture capital investing and start-up management. Keirn is a graduate of Williams College in the US and is obtaining his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
